PM Kisan: On February 1, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget for the financial year 2021-22. Its preparations are in the final stage. This time the government has a complete focus on farmers. Due to the three farm laws, the government can make several big announcements in the interest of farmers in the budget amid the farmer movement on the border of Delhi. The news is that the annual amount of 6,000 rupees of PM farmer can be increased.
This scheme was started in December 2018
This scheme was started on 1 December 2018 and under this, the central government sends six thousand rupees annually to the farmers’ account as an installment of two thousand rupees twice a year. All farmers get this benefit. Under this scheme, money is sent to the account during the period April-July, August-November and December-March. 500 rupees per month installment is quite low
The government gives Rs 6,000 to farmers in a year, that too in three installments of Rs 2000-2000. That is, farmers get only 500 rupees a month. Farmers say that the amount received under the PM-Kisan scheme is 500 rupees per month, which is quite low. It takes about Rs 3-3.5 thousand to take paddy crop in 1 bigha and about 2-2.5 thousand rupees is spent to take wheat crop. In such a situation, for farmers with more land, six thousand rupees is very less assistance. In such a situation, the amount should be increased so that the expenses can be met.
Amount can be increased from Rs 6,000 to 10,000
Experts believe that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman may take a decision in her interest in the upcoming budget, with a view to please the farmers who are protesting against the agricultural law. It is also news that the government can increase the amount of Kisan Samman Nidhi from 6 thousand to 10 thousand.
