Jio is soon going to hit an entry in Hospitality, Office, Electricity segment, Real State etc. with its Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
Reliance Jio has stated that it is in talks with the original equipment makers (OEMs) to launch its Internet of Things (IoT) service across the country. The company along with South Korean company Samsung is already running IoT network based on narrowband IoT technology network across the country. Along with this, the company has also stated that it has developed a comprehensive solution with devices, diagnostics, connectivity, platforms and support.
Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has already revealed that Jio aims to connect at least one billion connected IoTdevices to its Internet of Things (IoT) platform, which offers an annual revenue opportunity of Rs 20,000 crore per year for the company Can provide.
The company claimed that it has successfully completed the pilot project with several DISCOMs. Jio has integrated its IoT solution with top meter OEMs and has partnered with system integrators to rollout it.
Will also enter the electricity segment
On the other hand, if you talk about the electricity segment, Jio is also planning to make its place in the smart city space with smart lighting solution. The company is currently testing with some big lighting OEMs for this. Jio says that its connected digital generator solution has been rolled out and its pilot project is underway with DG OEMs and facility management companies.
Smart speakers and bulbs will be launched soon
Apart from this, the company has also revealed in its analyst presentation that the pilot project of its smart solution is also in progress for some big hospitality chains. To make its JioFiber broadband more fun, Jio is planning to launch several IoT devices which include smart speakers, smart bulbs and smart switches etc. Apart from this, the company is planning to launch a smart monitoring solution equipped with indoor and outdoor cameras for home and office soon. Apart from all this, the company is also launching Secure Streaming and Cloud Storage. In addition, Jio will also launch ‘Jio Smart Living’ suite under its home automation which will include safety, security and convenience sensors. It will be launched keeping real state developers in mind.
