Rajaji National Park is spread in the Shivalik Hills, which is a sample of an excellent ecosystem. Rajaji National Park is spread over three districts of Uttarakhand “Pauri Garwal, Dehradun and Haridwar” with a total area of 820.42 square kilometers.
The park is quite famous for its beauty and rich biodiversity. There are 23 species of mammals and 315 species of birds. Also, Asian elephant, Bengal tiger, leopard, wild cat, bear etc. can also be seen here. History of Rajaji National Park
In 1983, three sanctuaries of Uttarakhand, “Chilla”, Motichur and Rajaji, were merged into one large protected area. The park is named after the famous freedom fighter late Shri C. Rajgopalachari (Sri C. Rajgopalachari), who was known as Rajaji.
What to see in Rajaji National Park –
Rajaji National Park was made the second Tiger Reserve in Uttarakhand in April 2015. Jim Corbett National Park is the first tiger reserve in Uttarakhand.

- Tourists can enjoy jungle safari here
- Take care while walking in the park and do not attempt to harm wildlife
- The park is opened for tourists from mid-November to mid-June.
- Tourists can roam the elephant or jeep for a walk in the park, for which a separate fee is charged.
