New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi while giving his response on Budget 2021 said that the concept of self-reliant India is the foundation of the budget. There is no burden on the common man. There will be development in all areas from the budget. The budget increased confidence in the confidence of development. The budget will strengthen the agriculture sector. The budget focused on the village and the farmer. Income of farmers will be doubled. The emphasis was on development from east to west, north to south. Plans were announced from Bengal to Kerala. Sitharaman read the budget speech from a tablet instead of a paper document. After reading the budget proposal, the Finance Minister presented the Mid-term Fiscal Policy Strategy Statement and the Macroeconomic Framework Statement. He introduced Finance Bill 2021.

After this, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla adjourned the proceedings of the House for the day. While the Finance Minister was presenting the budget, Harsimrat Kaur Badal of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Sukhvir Badal, Bhagwant Mann of the Aam Aadmi Party and Hanuman Beniwal of the National Democratic Party lodged protests over three recent agricultural laws.
