Budget 2021: Middle Class Faked! The biggest voters of Modi government did not get anything

From Budget 2021, the middle class had high expectations, but Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has kept them empty-handed, whether it is tax exemption or health insurance middle class has not received anything from the Finance Minister.




No exemption in tax slab

This was the first budget of the government after the Corona epidemic, to which many hopes of the common man were attached. The middle class was thinking that it would get an exemption in the tax slab, but the government did not make any announcement about the tax slab. Neither the government reduced the tax slab nor announced to increase it. Income up to Rs 2.5 lakh is completely tax free as per the old tax slab. After this, 5% tax is levied on income from Rs 2.5 to 5 lakh, but instead the government gives a rebate of up to Rs 12,500, which makes the tax zero and no tax is levied on income up to 5 lakh.

No tax relief on hospital expenses

The middle class is a big voter of the Modi government, in such a situation the government has always been focused on the middle class, but there is nothing for them in this budget. During the Corona epidemic, people spent a lot on health. He even had to bear the cost of being admitted to the hospital. In such a situation, the government was expected to give tax relief on the expenses related to hospitalization if it was infected with the corona virus, but it did not happen. It was also expected that the government could announce a package for hospital related expenses. But this did not come in the account of the medium.

Corona not included in 80 DDB

According to the tax rules, tax deduction benefits of up to Rs 40 thousand annually under section 80 DDB for many diseases including neuro related diseases, cancer, AIDS and chronic renal failure. In such a situation, there was a demand that Corona should also be brought under this rule, but no such provision was made in the budget. For senior citizens this limit is Rs 1 lakh.

No announcement was made about dearness allowance

No announcement has been made in the budget about the dearness allowance of central employees, due to which the common man is disappointed, because the employees of the central government were expected that they could make some announcement about their dearness allowance in the budget.
