New Delhi On Saturday, a three-hour drive was blocked by farmer organizations in several states of the country including Haryana, Punjab. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered the suspension of Internet services once again at Delhi’s Singhu, Ganjipur and Tikari borders. This internet will be closed till 12 o’clock at night. In these areas, farmers are protesting against agricultural laws. The chakka jam carried out by the farmers associations on Saturday was called from 12 noon to 3 pm and now its time is over. However, the impact of the flywheel jam done by the farmers was not much.
Delhi Police was fully alert about the traffic jam in Delhi NCR. The PRO of Delhi Police told that from where we got input that some groups or people can carry out some sporadic incidents during Chakka Jam, special arrangements had already been made at those places for that. Some people were reaching Shaheedi Park. The road to those present there was diverted and traffic was resumed smoothly.
Explain that 12 metro stations of Delhi were done during Chakka Jam and some metro stations were closed as a precautionary measure. Drones were also flown for surveillance.
At the same time, while addressing the protesting farmers in Ghazipur, Rakesh Tikait said that they will not return home till the agricultural laws are repealed and the government will have to accept their demands.
Significantly, the farmers’ organizations have been protesting in several borders of Delhi-NCR for the last more than two months, demanding the repeal of the three agricultural laws. At the same time, the eleventh round of talks has been held between the central government and the farmers’ organizations, but no result has been achieved.
