4- Professional registered doctors, engineers, lawyers , CA will also not get benefit
5- Farmer families paying income tax will not get benefit
6- Farmers who get pension more than 10 thousand are also not rightly entitled
7- Farmers who use agricultural land for other purposes also benefit No
Agriculture Minister’s statement in Parliament
Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar had said in Parliament on Friday that even ineligible farmers are taking advantage of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Yojana. Some farmers paying income tax are also taking advantage of the scheme. Under the scheme, Rs.2,326 crore has been transferred to the account of 32.91 lakh unqualified beneficiaries. State governments are locating such people and registering a case against them.
Tamil Nadu government has started action
Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar has told in reply to Rajya Sabha that farmers are being investigated for taking advantage of the scheme. The Tamil Nadu government has found the information of about 6 lakh farmers wrong, which has already recovered Rs 158.57 crore. The process of investigation is going on in other states as well. According to government figures, more than 2 thousand crores have yet to be recovered.
