Indian Railway News: Indian Railways has decided to increase train services for the convenience of railway passengers. Train services are being increased continuously since coming out of the situation of lockdown. Trains are being run keeping in mind the need of passengers on routes across the country. In this sequence, the New Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi Special train is being started from the evening of February 8.
Apart from this, another good news is that from February 10, the New Delhi-Agra Cantt Express special train is also going to be operated. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has given information about this by tweeting. He has tweeted, ‘For the convenience of passengers, the operation of New Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi Special and New Delhi-Agra Cantt Express Special trains are being started from February 8. These trains will become a means of safe, easy and comfortable travel for the passengers.

Shatabdi Express will run with a new number
After 10 months, Shatabdi Express will run on the railway track between New Delhi and Kalka. The same train will return to Delhi the next day via Kalka to Chandigarh. According to Ambala Division, the train will run from New Delhi Railway Station with special number 02005 instead of its old number 12005/12006. Whereas in return, a train number 02006 will reach Delhi from Kalka railway station.

Shatabdi Express timings and routes
Train number 02005 New Delhi Kalka Shatabdi Special will depart from New Delhi at 5:15 pm and will reach Kalka railway station at 9:15 pm the same day via Panipat, Kurukshetra, Ambala Cantonment, Chandigarh railway station. In return, 02006 Kalka-New Delhi Shatabdi train will open from Kalka at 06:15 am and reach Chandigarh, Ambala Cantonment, Kurukshetra, Panipat and reach New Delhi at 10:15 am.
Right now there is only a century going on between Kalka to Delhi, which leaves from New Delhi for Kalka at 7:40 in the morning and reaches here at 11:50 in the day. In return, this train runs from Kalka at 5:45 in the evening and reaches New Delhi at 9:40 in the night.
Lokmanya Tilak Terminal – Lucknow Superfast Train
Central Railway has extended the operating period of the special tri-weekly train running between Lokmanya Tilak Terminal-Lucknow Junction on train number 02107/02108. Now from February 6 to March 31, 2021, train number 02107 Lokmanya Tilak Terminal will run at 16.25 hrs on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and reach Lucknow at 15.10 hrs the next day.
At the same time, from February 7 to April 1, 2021, train number 02108 will leave from Lucknow at 22.45 hrs on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and reach Lokmanya Tilak terminal at 23.00 hrs the next day. Booking of tickets has started in these trains.
Only those with confirmed tickets are allowed to travel
