PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme: Know, how many farmers will be affected?
The government has made major changes in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Now the same farmer whose name will be a farm will be included in this scheme. Till now, the scheme was such that if the forefathers had a field, then they would take advantage of this scheme by showing their share in it. But now this will not work at all. The government has now tightened this rule in this scheme. After the change of this rule, now the farmers who join this scheme may have problems. Especially farmers who jointly cultivate. This rule will affect about one crore farmers in the country. However, the farmers who are connected before this scheme will not have any effect on them. As before, the amount of 6 thousand rupees will be given to their accounts annually. Now, if new farmers join this scheme, they will have to provide documents about their fields in their name.
Why was the rule changed?
The rules for this scheme have been changed now after the amount of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme went to 33 lakh wrong accounts. In the PM Kisan Scheme, the amount of Rs 6 thousand per year will be given only to those farmers whose name will be a farm. This means that the farmers will have to do the mutation of the field in their own name. It is worth mentioning here that till now farmers who were taking advantage of this by taking out the Land Ownership Certificate (LPC) of their share in the farm named ancestors, will not be able to do so any further. Actually, the number of farmers who do not have mutation of agricultural land in their name is quite large. Accordingly, many farmers will be affected by this rule. However, these new rules will not affect the old beneficiaries who are already associated with the scheme.
Problems faced by joint farmers
According to the new rule, new applicants who are registering for the scheme will now
have to mention their land plot number in the application form . Farmer families that have jointly cultivated land may face difficulties. Because till now these farmers were taking advantage of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme on the basis of their share of Khatiyani land. Now the farmers will have to get their share of land in their name, only then they will be able to take advantage of this scheme. If the farmers have bought the land then there is no problem, if the land is Khatiyani, then this work has to be completed first.
These farmers will not get the benefit of the scheme
If a farmer does farming but that field is in his name and not in the name of his father or grandfather, then he will not get the benefit of Rs 6000 annually.
If a farmer cultivates land on rent from another farmer, even then he will not get the benefit of the scheme.
If a farmer or a family holds a constitutional post, he will not get the benefit.
Retired pensioners with monthly pension of more than Rs 10,000 will not get the benefit.
So far only 60 lakh farmers have been able to join this scheme
The number of beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in the state is around 60 lakhs. However, the number of farmer families in the state is 1.65 million. That is, even half the farmers are not connected to the scheme. Now in the new system, they will have to get the mutation done. Explain that under this scheme, the central government gives six thousand rupees to the selected farmers in their account every year. This amount is given every four months in three installments by two-two thousand. Money goes into the account on time. The state government only verifies the farmers and sends name records.
This scheme is in force for three years
The Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is in force in the state from December 1, 2018, ie for three years. It aims to meet the financial needs of the families of all farmers. The amount is released by the Central Government for the purchase of subsidies. A farmer’s family includes husband, wife and minor children. That is, one of these members will get the benefit of the scheme.
How many times has this plan changed so far
Three changes have been made in this scheme so far under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This was the third change in the scheme. Earlier, on the basis of the application of farmers, funds were sent directly to their account.
After that the Central Government provided for linking of accounts with Aadhaar. That is, the profit was grounded. At the same time, the income tax paying farmers were denied benefits.
Now new farmers will have to get the land in their name before applying.
