New Delhi. A matter related to the old pension system has been approved by the Central Government. This case was under consideration in Delhi High Court. But after the decision of the court, now it has also got the approval of the government. The government has given this information in response to the question of an MP in the Lok Sabha. This step of the government will benefit a large number of central government employees. Many employees had approached the court in this matter. This decision has come after hearing for several years. Now the employees will get the benefit of pension on retiring under the old pension system.
There were a large number of employees under the Central Government who were recruited under the new pension system National Pension System (NPS). But it was the allegation of such employees who knocked on the court that they were declared successful before 2004. The selection was also done before 2004, but he was appointed after 2004.
There were many similar reasons, due to which his job started after 2004. And because of this, the government kept them under NPS. The Delhi High Court, while giving its verdict on this, said that the government should give benefits of the old pension system to such employees. Which the government has accepted.
fighting for the pension of Paramilitary Force
But since 2004, soldiers recruited in CRPF, BSF, CISF, ITBP and Assam Rifles have also been placed under the new pension scheme. Pension should be revived. As before, the CRPF IG retired VPS Panwar is continuously raising voice for the benefit of old pension.
VPS Panwar, chairman of the National Coordination of Ex-Paramilitary Personal Welfare Association, says that I have been demanding restoration of old pension for the last 4 years. Dozens of letters have been written in this regard to the Home Ministry and all concerned departments including the PMO. But the surprising thing is that no one, except the PMO, has responded to a single letter till date. In the letter from the PMO, only this much was written that we have sent your letter to the concerned department for further action.
