New Delhi: It cannot be a better idea to teach a lesson to children who do not care for their elderly parents. In Maharashtra’s Latur Zilla Parishad, the salaries of its employees were deducted for not taking care of their old parents. President of here, Rahul Bondre told that he has taken action against seven such employees.

30% salary is being deducted every month

Rahul Bondre said that complaints were received against 12 of his employees for not taking proper care of their parents. 6 out of these 12 employees are teachers. From the salary of these employees, 30 percent salary is being deducted every month and transferred to their parents’ account.

Rules apply from December 2020 

Let me tell you that in November last year, the General Assembly of Latur District Council passed a resolution of 30 percent deduction from the salary of employees who do not take care of their parents. Rahul Bondre told that the deduction from the salary of such employees has been started from December 2020.

Some cases were resolved by sitting

He told that ‘We were investigating 12 such cases, whose parents accused their children of neglecting them. Out of the accounts of 7 of the 12 employees, we have started deducting salary from December 2020. He said that in this way 30 per cent salary means about 15000 rupees will be deducted from the account of these employees every month. He said that in some cases the problem was resolved by sitting with the employees.
