Allahabad Bank was merged with Indian Bank, after which new rules have come into force from today. Now customers have to use the new IFSC code for money transfer.
Know new rules
For online banking, Allahabad bank account holders will now have to download the indoASIS app. Its use has been started from 9 am today. Apart from this, the changes in the IFSC code, mobile banking app, check book and passbook of the account holders of Allahabad Bank have come into effect from today. Allahabad bank had already appealed to all the account holders to adopt the new change due to the customers having no problem. In fact, Allahabad Bank has merged with Indian Bank since April 1, 2020. After which customers can contact their home branch to know their new IFSC code for RTGS, NEFT, IMPS starting with ‘IDIB’ or www.indianbank.in/amalgamationYou can get a new IFSC code by logging on. Apart from this, customers can also SMS 92688 01962 from their registered mobile number to get a new IFSC code.
Check book will be valid for 6 months
Even though online banking has changed from today, it does not mean that your check book has become inactive with immediate effect. Allahabad Bank’s checkbook will continue to work for the next 6 months or till the check is over. Apart from the check book, ATMs will also be active for 6 months as before.
