New Delhi Vodafone-Idea (Vi) has launched its VoWi-Fi or Vi WiFi calling service in the country’s capital Delhi. Earlier Vi’s VoWi-Fi service was available in Gujarat and Mumbai. In this service, the user is given the facility of calling without network or less network. Vi started it in December last year. The company will soon launch VoWi-Fi in the rest of the country after Delhi, Mumbai and Gujarat. This has been revealed by the report of Telecom Talk.
What is VoWi-Fi service
As the name suggests, it is a Wi-Fi calling. Meaning for this service it will be necessary to have Wi-Fi. Others like WiFi can do video and audio on WhatsApp. In the same way, with the help of VoWiFi service, you will be able to make audio and video calling from normal mobile, that too can be done absolutely free. For this, there will also be no need for a network in the mobile phone. VoWiFi is commonly available in select smartphones of Xiaomi and OnePlus. To enjoy this service, users have to make some changes in the phone’s settings. For this it is mandatory to have 4G SIM, which supports Wi-Fi service. Also, a strong Wi-Fi network will also be needed.
Jio Has Launched its Wifi Calling Service
First of all you have to go to your mobile settings.
There you will get a connection option.
Here you will get the wifi option, which has to be enabled.
