Indian Railway News: Zonal railways have been instructed that in any zone where unreserved train services are being started, mobile application service can be started for issuing unreserved tickets (General Ticket).
During the Corona era, the traffic system which was badly crumbled has come back to a large extent. More than 65 per cent of the trains of the Indian Railways have also started running. After Mail Express trains, passenger trains services have also been started according to the need and demand in many routes. Up to the reservation in passenger and express trains is fine, but even for unreserved i.e. General Ticket, passengers are having problems.
According to Corona Guidelines, it is necessary to maintain social distancing, but the ticket counters are crowded. In such a situation, Indian Railways has taken a big decision to remove the problem of passengers for unreserved ticket.
General ticket can be deducted from mobile app
Indian Railways has instructed to re-activate the UTS on mobile app facility in those areas where unreserved train services are being resumed. To avoid congestion at counters and to maintain social distancing, the UTS on Mobile App facility is being introduced.
The zonal railways have been instructed that in any zone where unreserved train services are being started, mobile application service can be started for issuing unreserved tickets. People will not have to face problems due to the facility of booking unreserved tickets through the UTS ON MOBILE app by the Indian Railways.
How to download UTS ON MOBILE app?
The UTSONMOBILE app has been made available on the mobile apps platform by Indian Railways. Android users can download and download it by visiting Google play store. At the same time, iPhone users can download it from the Apple Store and install it on their mobiles. This app is completely free, ie it will not cost any money to download it.
How to use the app?
After installing in mobile, you will have to create a user account through your mobile number. Smartphone must be GPS enabled to book paperless tickets. The journey should begin within an hour after booking.
After login in the app, you enter the starting station and then the destination station. In this, select the ticket and click on the payment option. You can pay by app valet, UPI or other way of digital payment.
Tickets can be shown in the mobile app itself
Travelers can book paperless travel tickets, season tickets and platform tickets through the mobile application. The ticket will remain in your mobile application. That is, there will be no need to print it. Passengers can travel without a hardcopy of the ticket. Whenever a ticket checking employee asks for a ticket, passengers can show tickets using the ‘show ticket’ option in the app.
Right to implement the facility to the zonal railways for passengers
In the release issued by the Ministry of Railways, it has been said that passengers should not have any inconvenience in booking unreserved tickets and social distancing can be maintained at the booking counter while purchasing tickets, hence this decision has been taken. Through the UTS on mobile app facility, passengers can cut their own tickets. Zonal railways have been instructed in this regard. Zonal railways will have the right to implement UTS mobile app service in their area for unreserved train services.
