Maharashtra News: Maharashtra Health Minister’s warning- lockdown will have to be imposed if the situation gets bad

Maharashtra Coronavirus Cases: Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and the state administration will take stock of the situation for the next 48 hours, after which a decision will be taken on the night curfew in Mumbai.

Mumbai. The state Health Minister has said that lockdown can be imposed in states where cases will increase due to the lockdown due to the ever increasing corona cases in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope said that cases of corona virus are increasing continuously. If the situation is bad then lockdown will be imposed in the districts where more cases of corona virus are coming. Tope said that 20 lakh people who have not followed the rules related to Corona in Mumbai have been fined.

On the other hand, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, with folded hands, has appealed people to follow the rules related to Kovid. Pednekar said that the Brihanmumbai Municipality and the state administration would take stock of the situation for the next 48 hours, after which a decision would be taken on the night curfew in Mumbai. Only after this, the administration is considering the night curfew after reviewing the situation.




Maharashtra’s new restrictions may be like this

At present, restrictions can be imposed on the number of employees in offices and shops in Mumbai. At the same time, new rules can also be imposed for religious places. Apart from this, different programs can also be implemented. In view of increasing cases in Maharashtra, partial lockdowns have been imposed in Nagpur, Amravati and Parbhani. There is a possibility that the Uddhav government may announce new restrictions for the Containment Zone and other areas of Mumbai.

Amid a ‘Janata curfew’ in Osmanabad, Maharashtra on Sunday to curb the corona virus, the administration appealed to people to follow the Kovid-19 guidelines and wear masks in public places. Apart from this, Latur district administration has also decided to implement the night curfew.

More than 16 thousand cases came in Maharashtra on Sunday

Significantly, 16,620 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Maharashtra on Sunday, which is the highest number of new cases reported in a single day this year. With the new cases in the state, the number of infected people has increased to 23,14,413. The health department said that after the death of 50 patients of Kovid-19 in the same period, the death toll increased to 52,861.

More than 15,000 new cases were coming in the state for the last two days and on Sunday the figure crossed 16,000. According to the department, after recovering from the infection of 8,861 patients in the state, 21,34,072 people have become healthy so far. The health rate in the state is 92.21 percent while the death rate is 2.28 percent.

The department said in a statement that there are currently 1,26,231 patients undergoing treatment in Maharashtra. On Sunday, 1,08,381 samples were tested.
