Aadhaar card: How to make duplicate card online if Aadhaar card is lost, know the complete process

Aadhaar card: If your Aadhaar card is lost or torn, you can apply for a duplicate Aadhaar card. You do not need to worry about this. But if the Aadhaar card is lost or damaged, a complaint can be made on the UIDAI website or toll free number 1947.

Aadhaar card: If your Aadhaar card is lost? Or the Aadhaar card is torn, then you do not need to worry under any circumstances. You can get a duplicate Aadhaar card issued. Aadhaar card can be obtained online from the Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI website. However, if your Aadhaar card is lost, then first of all you should complain about the loss of Aadhaar card.

Where to complain about lost Aadhaar card

You can complain about lost Aadhaar card by calling UIDAI toll-free number 1947. You can also complain by emailing from the official website help@uidai.gov.in. Please note that if you do not complain, you will be responsible if your Aadhaar card is misused.

How to apply for duplicate Aadhaar online

Step 1: First of all you have to visit the official UIDAI website.

Step 2: After this, the Aadhaar service section will appear on the UIDAI website. It will appear in the menu bar or drop down menu.

Step 3: Then you will see the “Retrieve Lost UID/EID” option. This will take you to a new page, from where you can request for a duplicate Aadhaar card.

Step 4: After this, click on the “Retrieve Lost UID/EID” option and enter the Aadhaar number or enrollment number.

Step 5: Then enter the required information like full name, registered mobile number and email. Then you will see a security code. After this, additional information like registered address and date of birth will have to be entered.

Step 6: After filling the details, click on Send OTP option. Then tap on the one-time password option. After this, enter OTT and verify.

Step 7: Once you enter the OTP, you will have to click on the captcha code and then the submit button.

Step 8: After OTP verification, your Aadhaar number will be displayed on your mobile number. After this, you have to select it and confirm it.

Note – You will be able to get a duplicate Aadhaar card from the UIDAI portal with the help of Aadhaar card number and enrollment ID.
