Aadhar card issuing body UIDAI has provided the facility to issue Aadhar card in regional languages. Apart from English language, if you can get Aadhar card in Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Oriya, Kannada, Malayalam and Marathi languages.
If you want to change the language in Aadhar card, then you have to apply online for it. It may take around 3-4 weeks for the language to be updated. You can also make online payment for this.
Know how to make changes
First of all you have to visit the official website of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in/ . After this, click on Demographic Data Online under Aadhaar section. From here you will directly reach the Aadhaar Self Service Update Portal.
Then you have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number. Here enter the captcha security code and click on send OTP. Now a six digit OTP will come on the registered mobile number. After filling it click on login button. Then click on the Demographic data update button.
From here, select the regional language in which you want to make Aadhaar. The Name and Address fields will also be selected by default. Now on proceeding follow the instruction to update demographics in the popup. Check everything by clicking on the preview option and click on submit. Now one time password will come on your mobile. Now after paying Rs 50, your language update request will be submitted. When the new Aadhar card is generated, then download it.
