In such a situation, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has provided both online and offline options to change the address in the Aadhaar card. Through which you can change your address. Now even those living on rent can update their address easily. The tenant must have a registered rent agreement for address updates.
To update the address, the rent agreement has to be scanned and saved in PDF format. After that the file has to be uploaded on the website of Aadhaar. Let us tell you how to update and what to keep in mind.
>> First go to the official site of UIDAI https://uidai.gov.in/. Then click on the tab with My Aadhaar on the homepage.
>> Click on the tab of address update request (online). Which will open a new page, click on the update address tab here.
>> Login after filling your Aadhaar card, after logging in, OTP will come on your registered mobile number. Go to the portal by putting OTP in the given column.
>> Upload your registered agreement here and after uploading you will get a reference number.
>> Take the reference number and go to the Aadhaar center and state it. After this, your new Aadhaar will be sent to that address.

>> Your rent agreement should be registered. If your rent agreement is not registered then UIDAI will reject.
>>You have to make sure that the rent agreement should be in your name. That is, the rent agreement should be in the name of the person whose address is to be updated on the Aadhar card. Spouse (spouse) should not be a rent agreement in the name of parents or children.
>> You will have to scan your rent agreement and create a PDF file. If you do not create a PDF, it will not be uploaded.
How to update
offline : To update offline address, you have to fill an update form. Then update the address by filling the necessary details in it. In this, you will have to provide photocopy of Aadhaar card, PAN card, rent agreement, voter ID card or passport. To update you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50.
