Steps to update Aadhaar details online
Visit UIDAI’s self-service portal: For this, first you have to visit the official UIDAI website.
Login: Enter your Aadhaar number, captcha code and OTP sent to your registered mobile number to log in.
Go to Document Update: Then go to the ‘Document Update’ section and verify your existing details.
Upload Document: Select the document type you want to update from the drop-down menu. Then upload a scanned copy of your supporting document for verification.
Note down the Service Request Number: Note down the Service Request Number to track the status of your Aadhaar update.
Offline update for changes in biometrics
For updates related to biometric information such as fingerprints, iris scans or photographs, you will have to visit an Aadhaar enrolment centre or Aadhaar Seva Kendra. For offline update, follow these steps given below:
Download the update form: First download the form from the UIDAI website.
Submit the form: Fill the form, attach the required documents and submit it at the nearest enrollment center or Aadhaar service center.
Biometric verification: For this, provide biometric data (fingerprint, iris scan, etc.).
Finally, to track the status of your update, you will be given a slip with your URN (Update Request Number). Through which you will be able to track the Aadhaar card update request.
