New Delhi: Aadhaar Latest News: Aadhar card is a mandatory document in India. Without this, no work can be done in the country. UIDAI also gives information related to Aadhaar from time to time. The government has issued a new rule regarding Aadhaar Verification. This new rule is regarding offline verification of Aadhaar. Now under the new rule, you will be able to verify your Aadhaar offline or without any internet or online.
Government issued new rules
According to the rules issued by the government, now you will have to provide a digitally signed document for verification. This digitally signed document should be issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the government body of Aadhaar. Let us tell you that the last four characters of the user’s Aadhaar number are given on this document.
‘Know the customer’
Significantly, the government notified the Aadhaar (Authentication and Offline Verification) Regulations, 2021 (Regulations) on 8 November 2021 and released them on the official website on 9 November 2021. In this, the detailed process of offline verification of Aadhaar for e-KYC (e-kyc) has been told. Here KYC stands for ‘Know the Customer’ which will be completely electronic. Hence its name has been given as e-KYC.

In this new rule, an option is given to the Aadhaar holder to give his Aadhaar paperless offline e-KYC to any authorized agency for the process of Aadhaar e-KYC verification. After this the agency will match the Aadhaar number and name, address etc. given by the Aadhaar holder with the central database. If the match is found to be correct then the process of verification is carried forward.

Let us tell you that Aadhaar Paperless Offline E-KYC means that digitally signed document which is issued by UIDAI. This document contains information about the last 4 characters of the Aadhaar number, name, gender, address, date of birth and photo. This new rule issued by the government gives the right to the Aadhaar holders to refuse the verification agency that no e-KYC data of theirs should be stored.
