What can be updated?
You can update your home address, phone number, name, email ID etc. in your Aadhar card. But if you want to update information like photo, biometric and iris, then for this you will have to go to the enrollment center and also pay the charge.
How to update Aadhaar
- First of all go to the official website https://uidai.gov.in/.
- After this click on the option of Update Aadhaar.
- Now login through OTP by entering Aadhaar number.
- Now you have to click on the option to update Aadhar card.
- Select the address option.
- After this you will have to click on Proceed to Update Aadhaar.
- Now upload the documents related to the updated address.
- After this a request number will be generated.
- Save this number. Your Aadhaar will be updated after a few days.
- You can check the status of your Aadhaar through request number.
How much money will have to be paid after the last date
If you do not update Aadhaar by 14th December, then you will have to pay money for updating it after that. After December 14, a fee of Rs 50 will be charged for Aadhar card update. UIDAI has said that this service can be updated only on myAadhaar portal.
