Aadhaar Update Charges: Know how much money it takes to update an Aadhaar card

It will take 100 rupees for biometric update in Aadhaar card and 50 rupees for a demographic update


Aadhaar Update Charges: Aadhaar is a 12-digit identification number provided by the Unique Identification Authority of India -UIDAI. Aadhaar card is used as proof of identity and address for Indians.

If you want to make any changes in it, then you can make changes by going to the online enrollment center. However, for biometric updates, you have to visit the Aadhaar Permanent Enrolment Center on a near basis.

To get the Aadhaar card updated, you should bring your original documents to the enrollment center. The original documents will be checked and returned to you after updating. If you want to change the demographic information using online Self Service Update Portal (SSUP), then your mobile number must be registered in Aadhaar.

When should you update Aadhaar Card

You should update the Aadhaar card when your address has changed or when you get married. So that your address should always be updated. If you want to change your Aadhaar card in photos, biometrics, genders, mobile numbers, emails, then there is no need for any type of documents.


How much does it cost to update Aadhaar

If you do a biometric update, then it will cost 100 rupees. If you make a demographic update, it will cost 50 rupees. If you want e-Aadhaar download and color print out, then it will cost 30 rupees. If you are asked to make additional payment, you can complain by calling 1947 or by mailing to help@uidai.gov.in .
