Aadhaar Update: According to the website of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), if you have not updated your Aadhaar details in the last 10 years, you can do it for free till December 14. UIDAI is urging 10-year old Aadhaar holders to update the information with the new information to prevent Aadhaar related frauds.
According to the website, ‘Please update your Aadhaar for continued accuracy of demographic information.’ The purpose of this is to ensure that the data is updated and accurate.

Note that the free update can be done online at https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and for physical update at CSC, a fee of Rs 25 will be charged as usual.
How to upload address proof for free?
1:Visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
2: Login and select ‘Update Name/Gender/Date of Birth and Address’
3: Click on ‘Update Aadhaar Online’
4: Select ‘Address’ from the list of demographic options and click on ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’.
5: Upload a scanned copy and enter the required demographic information.
6: Pay Rs 25. (Not required till 14th December)
7: A Service Number (SRN) will be generated, save it for tracking later.
8. Finally when all the information is completed you will get SMS.
