The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said on Monday that information is issued to Aadhaar number holders from time to time to keep the Aadhaar database updated, but no number has been cancelled.
Aadhaar is the most commonly used digital identity to avail many subsidies, benefits and services.
UIDAI said on its website that to maintain the accuracy of the Aadhaar database, the authority had started an exercise for document and Aadhaar information updates.
UIDAI said, “During the activities undertaken to keep the Aadhaar database updated, information is issued from time to time to Aadhaar number holders. In this regard, it is clarified that no Aadhaar number has been cancelled.
If any Aadhaar number holders have any complaint then they can give their feedback to UIDAI. The complaint will be resolved appropriately.
