Aadhaar Voter ID Card Link: Is your Aadhaar Card linked with Voter ID? Though the Election Commission has not made it mandatory, Aadhaar can be linked with Voter ID through mobile to establish the identity of electors and authenticate entries in the electoral rolls. It will also help to detect the registration of a voter in more than one constituency or more than once in the same constituency.
Also, the process to link Aadhaar card with Voter ID is hassle free and can be done online through smartphones. All you need to do is install the Voter Helpline App and follow the steps mentioned below. Or you can also visit the official website of National Voters Service Portal: www.nvsp.in.
How to link Aadhaar Card with Voter ID online via Mobile
1. People having both the Aadhaar card and the voter ID will have to download and install the Voter Helpline App on the Smartphone. Android users can do so from the Google Play Store while the iPhone users will have to go to the App store.
2. Once the app gets downloaded and installed on your device, open the Voter Helpline App and select ‘I Agree’ option and then click on ‘Next’.
3. Now, tap on ‘Voter Registration’ option, and then select ‘Electoral Authentication Form (Form 6B)’.
4. You will then have to tap on the ‘Let’s Start’ option.
5. Next, provide your mobile number registered with Aadhaar and click on ‘send OTP’.
6. Enter the OTP received on the mobile number and then click on ‘Verify’.
7. Select ‘Yes I have voter ID’ option and click on ‘Next’.
8. Enter your voter ID (EPIC) number, select the state and tap on the ‘Fetch Details’ option.
9. You will then have to click on the ‘Proceed’ option.
10. Verify your details shown on the screen and then tap on ‘Next’.
11. Enter your Aadhaar number, registered mobile number, place of application and click on ‘Done’.
12. After the process is complete, the preview page of Form 6B will be displayed. Check your details again and tap on ‘Confirm’ for final submission of Form 6B.
