‘Care off’ was found written instead of relationship
Recently, an applicant got his family’s Aadhar cards updated on change of his address, in which instead of father’s relation came care of. He thought that this happened by mistake, but later when he went to the Aadhaar center and told about it, he came to know that from now on this will be written.
Can be given any name
According to Dinesh Tyagi, Managing Director of CSC Authorized for Aadhar Update, now instead of father, son, daughter in Aadhaar card, ‘Care of’ is coming. The applicant cannot give any name in the care of also. Aadhar card can also be updated by just giving name and address. He argued that the relationship cannot be fixed with the Aadhar card.
Hence the change
According to a senior official of UIDAI, in the year 2018, a decision of the Supreme Court came regarding the Aadhaar card, in which the privacy of the people was talked about. At the same time, on the basis of this decision, the identity of the relationships of the applicants is not being told in the Aadhar card. UIDAI has not given any information about when these changes were implemented.
