In one of its reports, Jagran has given the example of the Aadhaar card of the wife of Randhir Singh, a retired sub-inspector of Delhi Police. According to the report, when Randhir Singh got the address changed on the basis of his wife, his name came in Care Of instead of Wife Of. At first they thought it was a technical issue, but later they came to know about the change in the rules.
CSC MD told the whole thing
Dinesh Tyagi, Managing Director (MD) of Common Service Center (CSC), working under the Ministry of IT, authorized for any change in Aadhaar, has told Jagran that now the wife of father, son, daughter will be included in the Aadhaar card. ‘Care of’ is being printed instead of ‘Wife of/Son of/ Daughter of’. If anyone wants, he can not even give anyone’s name in it. That is, now you can get Aadhar card made by just giving name and address.
Why was this decision taken?
Regarding this change, Jagran, quoting a senior official of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), has written that in the year 2018, there was a detailed decision of the Supreme Court regarding the Aadhaar card, in which the matter of taking care of the privacy of the people is implied. . This step is in that direction. Now the relationship information is not being given in the Aadhar card. However, it is not clear when this change in Aadhaar has been implemented. It is being said that the 12 digit unique number in the Aadhar card is the uniqueness of the identity of a person. It is associated with his finger print and eye. This unique number will be enough to identify the person.
