Aadhar card has become a very important document in today’s time. You can get your Aadhar card made by visiting any Aadhar center. However, many times it happens that the name or date of birth i.e. date of birth is wrongly written in Aadhaar, what to do? UIDAI says that you can also change your name and date of birth entered in Aadhaar through mobile phone online.
According to UIDAI, first you have to login at ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup/. After this you have to enter your Aadhar number. Then whatever service you want to take, you select it and according to it, the necessary documents which are asked from you, scan and upload them. For this, you will also have to pay a nominal service fee, which you can pay through Internet Banking.
If you are going to change the name and date of birth entered in Aadhaar, then definitely keep in mind that the mobile number linked to that Aadhaar should be present with you, because OTP comes on the same number for verification.
It is also important for you to note here that the date of birth in Aadhaar can be changed only once through online mode. If you want to update it again, then you have to go to your nearest Aadhaar center. There you will also be asked for documents related to the date of birth and a self-declaration that you want to get the date of birth corrected on your own.
