Aadhar Card is an essential document for every citizen in India. Aadhar is needed for every work today. But having Aadhaar is not enough, it is also very important to have all your information in Aadhaar correct. Due to wrong information, many of your work can be stopped. Along with this, someone can also misuse your Aadhaar due to wrong information.
Note that to take advantage of all the facilities related to Aadhaar, it is most important that your mobile number and email ID are correct in your Aadhaar. You may have to face many troubles if the mobile number is not registered in Aadhaar or if it is wrong.
To reduce this tension, UIDAI has started a new service through which you will be able to check whether your phone number and email ID in Aadhaar is correct or not. So let’s know how you can verify whether your mobile number and mail id is correct or not:
Process to Verify Mobile Number and Mail ID: For this, first click on http://resident.uidai.gov.in/verify-email-mobile. After this, a page related to “Check your Email / Mobile Number in Aadhaar” will open. To check the details, you have to first enter “12 digit Aadhaar number”.
After this “Contact Details” will be asked. Here you have to enter Mobile Number and E-mail ID. Now after filling “Captcha” you have to click on “Send OTP”. If you get OTP then your mobile number is correct and if not then you will have to visit Aadhaar Enrollment Center to get it corrected or changed.
If the mobile number in Aadhaar is wrong, then change it with the new number: First of all, you have to go to the Aadhaar Enrollment / Update Center. After that fill the Aadhar card correction form. Enter the mobile number you need to update on this form. Then submit the form. Then you will have to provide your biometrics for authentication. After this a receipt will be given to you by the executive.
In this receipt you will get a request number (URN). You can check your updation status using URN. Let us tell you that after updating the mobile number in Aadhaar, you do not even need to get a new Aadhaar card. When your new mobile number is registered with Aadhaar, you will start receiving OTP on the same changed mobile number of Aadhaar. If you want to check the updated status of Aadhaar, then you can also know by calling UIDAI’s toll-free number 1947.
