From opening a bank account to buying a house and car, Aadhar card is necessary for everything. You go for any such work, first of all you are asked for Aadhar card. Aadhaar card is actually a 12-digit unique number, which is issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Your biometric and other information is secure in the Aadhar card. By the way, almost everyone has Aadhar card available today and those who do not have it, they are working with E-Aadhaar. It is also valid like Aadhar card. But if you do not have both these things and you have also forgotten your Aadhaar Enrollment Number (Aadhaar Number), then there is no need to worry.
To know the Aadhaar Enrollment Number, the most important thing is that you should have the mobile number which is registered in the Aadhaar and your mobile number should also have the facility of SMS. Apart from mobile number, registered email ID can also be used.
Now open the resident.uidai.gov.in website on your mobile through internet. In that you will see My Aadhar option, select it. When another interface opens, move down to the Aadhar service section and click on Retrieve Lost or Forgotten EID or UID and enter whatever information is asked of you in the box and click on Send OTP. Now log in by entering the OTP which will be received on your mobile number and some of the digits given below. Just your Aadhar Enrollment Number will come on your mobile number or registered email id.
According to UIDAI, those who have not registered their mobile number/email ID with their Aadhar card will have to visit the nearest Permanent Enrollment Center for recovery of EID or UID number.
