It is worth noting that earlier it was reported that Adani Wilmar, a company of veteran industrialist Gautam Adani, has stopped all the advertisements of his Fortune Rice Bran Cooking Oil in which Sourav Ganguly, former captain of Team India and BCCI head appears.
Gritty on social media
Ganguly suffered a heart attack on Saturday and underwent angioplasty. After this, the company’s advertisements were being made fun of on social media. Ganguly was made the brand ambassador of Fortune Rice Bran ‘Hort Healthy Oil’ in January last year. He is seen promoting the care of Hart in an advertisement created during the lockdown period.
What did the company say
Adani Wilmar deputy chief executive Angshu Malik said, “We will continue to work with Sourav Ganguly and he will continue to be our brand ambassador.” We have just put a temporary halt in our TV commercial and will work with Saurav again. This is an unfortunate incident that can happen to anyone.
Defending his healthy oil, Malik said, ‘Rice bran oil is not a medicine, it is only cooking oil. In the case of the heart, a variety of factors are affected, such as food and genetic issues.
He said that rice bran is considered a very healthy option for hot. It is worth noting that Sourav Ganguly was made the brand ambassador of Fortune Rice Bran Cooking Oil in January 2020.
