Decision on Class 1 Admission 2024 Age Limit!

The Education Ministry has given information by tweeting on its X handle. It has been told that this decision is being taken under the National Education Policy i.e. NEP 2020 and the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE Act 2009).

The Union Education Ministry has written in the letter sent to the States and UTs that ‘In the letter sent to the States in 2021 and 2023, it was requested that at the time of school admission, the age of children in Class 1 admission should be kept above 6 years. Make sure. Now the new academic session 2024-25 is going to start soon, when school admissions for the new session are going to start. We hope that the Grade-1 admission age will be kept at 6+ in your state/UT.
