Airline company IndiGo said on Thursday that the fares for flights to Prayagraj have stabilized and it has increased the number of flights on this route to 900 for the Maha Kumbh. There is a constant concern about the increase in fares on flights to Prayagraj due to increasing demand of passengers and the government has asked the airline companies to keep ticket prices stable as well as operate more flights on this route.

The Maha Kumbh began on January 13 and will end on February 26. Apart from the additional capacity already activated, IndiGo said it is also working on reallocating capacity from other parts of its network to add more flights to meet the rising number of passengers.

IndiGo said in a statement, “The airline has also ensured to keep fares stable and is committed to providing the best possible travel experience to all its customers.” On Wednesday, sources had said that IndiGo has reduced the fares of flights to Prayagraj by 30-50 percent. According to the airline, it has significantly increased the number of flights and seat capacity from Prayagraj airport during the Maha Kumbh period.
