Air India Express is starting its first flight from Hindon Airport Ghaziabad to this city, know the date

Air India Express plans to fly from Kolkata to Kathmandu and Dhaka from the summer schedule this year. Air traffic control at Hindon is being provided by the Indian Air Force.

Air India Express, a subsidiary of Tata Group’s airline Air India, is going to start flights between Kolkata Airport and Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh from March 1. This flight service between the two cities will benefit a large number of passengers. According to PTI news, the airline spokesperson says that the flight from Kolkata to Hindon will operate every day, while the flight from Hindon to Kolkata will operate six days a week except Saturday.

Know the time table and who will get more convenience

According to the news, the flights will take off from Kolkata at 7.10 am and reach Hindon at 9.30 am daily, while the return flights will depart from Hindon Airport at 5.20 pm and reach Kolkata at 7.40 pm. An airline spokesperson said Hindon Airport is expected to provide a convenient option for passengers from central and east Delhi, Noida and nearby areas such as Akshardham, Anand Vihar, Sansad Marg and Central Secretariat, Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, Indirapuram, Karol Bagh, Vaishali and surrounding areas.

Air India Express will be the first airline

According to the airline, Air India Express will be the first airline to operate with jet engine airliners from Hindon Airport and Kolkata will be the first location to be connected with large aircraft. According to sources, currently small airlines operate on short routes from Hindon. With this expansion, Air India Express will operate from two airports in the National Capital Region (NCR) – Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad. Flights between Kolkata and Hindon were to start from August 2024 but were postponed.

The airline connects to 14 direct destinations

Air India Express connects Kolkata to 14 direct destinations including Hindon. Some of the major destinations are Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati and Hyderabad. Apart from connecting Kolkata, the airline also plans to connect Goa and Bengaluru to Hindon, with six daily flights from each destination. For those flying from Bengaluru, Goa and Kolkata, Hindon Airport ensures quick access to key areas of the National Capital Region. This will make air travel accessible to a wider population, especially for interested travellers from Western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, including cities like Bareilly, Bijnor, Dehradun, Haridwar, Hapur, Meerut, Moradabad, Mussoorie, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur and Saharanpur.
