Booking has been started for the new aircraft added to the fleet by Air India. These aircraft will have facilities like in-flight entertainment.
Tata Group’s airline Air India has started booking for domestic flights of the new aircraft Airbus 350 recently added to its fleet. This information has been given by the company on social media. This is the first time after the acquisition of Air India by Tata Group that the airline has started booking for new aircraft.
On which routes will the flights operate?
Air India’s new 350 aircraft will fly on routes like Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. The first flight will be from Bengaluru to Mumbai. Apart from this, all flights of Mumbai-Chennai, Chennai-Bengaluru, Bengaluru-Chennai, Chennai-Hyderabad and Hyderabad-Bengaluru will operate on all days except Tuesday. Flights from Bengaluru to Delhi and from Delhi to Bengaluru will operate only on Tuesdays.

The brand-new aircraft, which is India’s first, will start commercial service from 22nd January 2024.

Features in the new Airbus 350 aircraft
Air India’s new Airbus A350-900 aircraft will have some 316 seats across three categories (Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy). It will have 28 business class, 24 premium economy class and 264 economy class seats. The facility of e-flight entertainment would have been provided in this aircraft. Rolls-Royce’s Trent XWB engine is installed in these aircraft. The special thing about this aircraft is that it consumes 20 percent less fuel as compared to other aircraft.
Rejuvenation of Air India is taking place
Since the acquisition, Tata Airlines has started a program named Vihaan.AI for the rejuvenation of Air India. Besides, the crew’s uniform has also been redesigned by famous fashion designer Manish Malhotra. Let us tell you, last year on December 23, 2023, Air India received the first aircraft out of its order of 20 A350 900 aircraft, which is being considered as the beginning of a new era for the airline.
