Telecom company Reliance Jio launched a new wireless WiFi service Jio AirFiber on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi this year, the benefit of which is now available in more than 250 cities. With this service, the benefit of high-speed 5G connectivity is being provided without laying cable network. The special thing is that the company is offering its connection absolutely free. Jio Air Fiber service was earlier rolled out in select cities only, but now its connection can be taken in a total of 262 cities across the country. This service is more useful in areas where the company’s broadband cable-based network cannot reach and JioFiber services are not available. To provide its connection, an indoor and an outdoor unit are installed. The outdoor unit is installed outdoors on the terrace and the other unit is installed inside the office or home.
Getting speed up to 1Gbps
While launching the new internet service, Reliance Jio had claimed that with this, users will be given the benefit of True 5G speed wirelessly without any cable network. In terms of speed, it is better than JioFiber service. Its plans start from Rs 599 and go up to Rs 3,999. In these, complimentary subscription of different OTT services is also being offered and depending on the price, internet speed ranges from 30Mbps to 1Gbps.

However, to get Jio AirFiber connection, one has to pay an installation fee of Rs 1000, in which all the necessary equipment is installed. However, if you choose the annual plan with any recharge, you will not have to pay this installation charge. In this way, you will pay for high-speed internet only for 1 year and the company will install it absolutely free.

First of all you have to go to the AirFiber section on MyJio app or Jio.com website. From here you will be able to check whether AirFiber service is available in your area or not. If this service is available then you have to tap on the blue colored ‘Get Jio AirFiber’ option. After this the company itself will contact you and inform you about the further process. You have to choose the annual plan, so that you do not have to pay any installation charges.
