Tata Group led private airline company Air India has taken a special initiative for the convenience of its passengers. The airline will deploy specially trained Service Assurance Officers (SAOs) at 16 major airports in the country. These officers will assist the passengers (Air India passengers) in the check-in area or lounge, near the boarding gate or even in the arrival hall. According to IANS news, the airline has deployed them to provide on-ground support under Project Abhinandan.

Passengers will be able to get help at these airports

According to the news, under Project Abhinandan, these officers will be deployed at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Calicut, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam airports. Air India aims to provide personal assistance and a hassle-free on-ground experience to its passengers and guests. An official of the airline (AIR INDIA) said that the service assurance officers will be able to deal with unexpected problems like missed flights, delayed luggage delivery and wrong connections at the airport.

Effort to bring change in travel experience

Rajesh Dogra, chief customer experience and ground handling officer, Air India, said the airport experience can be challenging for many air passengers, regardless of how often one travels. Project Abhinandan is our sincere effort to simplify the airport experience for our guests and transform their travel experience. We are constantly looking at new ways to enhance that experience in our endeavor to transform Air India into a truly world class airline.

Let us tell you, the airline has also taken many big decisions in recent times. Vistara, the airline company in which Tata Group has a major stake, is also going to merge with Air India by March 2024. Vistara Airlines is a joint airline company of Tata Group and Singapore Airlines with a 51:49 ratio.
