Airport New Service: Good news has been announced for the passengers arriving at Muscat International Airport. On Wednesday, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology announced that the fares of airport taxis will be reduced.
It is reported that if passengers book through licensed taxi applications – OTaxi and Oman Taxi, they will be given a discount of 45 percent.
Airport taxi is expensive
It has been reported that airport taxi prices are very high. Due to high prices of taxis, the number of unlicensed operators has increased. Therefore, to increase airport taxis and use of licensed taxi applications, the Ministry has announced this relaxation.
Now the base rate of airport taxi is OMR 1.5 and an additional fare of 250 baizas per kilometer is charged. Earlier OMR 3 was the base rate and an additional fare of 400 baizas per kilometer will be paid.
