Air India Express Baggage Allowance: If you are going to travel by air, then this news is for you. Actually, Air India Express has made a big change in its baggage policy. Under this, the limit of check-in baggage for passengers has been increased. This change has been made by Air India to provide convenience to the passengers. According to the new change, Air India Express is now providing its passengers with 7 kg cabin baggage along with 30 kg check-in baggage.

According to the first rule of Air India, passengers were only allowed to check-in baggage up to 20 kg. However, by changing the rule, the facility of 10 kg additional baggage has been given to the passengers. Under the change in the baggage policy, passengers will be allowed to carry up to two cabin bags. However, the weight of both the bags should not exceed 7 kg. This includes laptop bags, handbags, backpacks or small size bags. Air India has said that the size of cabin baggage should not exceed 40 cm x 30 cm x 10 cm, allowing them to fit comfortably under the seat in front.

Special discount for families traveling with children

According to the information given by the officials of Air India Express, additional facility has been given to families traveling with small children. A provision of 10 kg extra has been made for them in the baggage policy. That is, families traveling with children will be able to carry a total weight of up to 47 kg. This will include 40 kg check-in baggage and 7 kg cabin bag.

Facility will not be available on every flight

If you are thinking that this facility will be available to passengers in every flight of Air India Express, then it is not so. According to the information given by Air India Express, the change in baggage policy will be applicable only on international flights between India to Middle East and Singapore. Baggage policy on other flights will remain the same as before. That is, in addition to 20 kg check-in baggage, only 7 kg cabin baggage facility will be available.
