Delhi Airport UDF: Now flying from Delhi Airport is going to be a little more expensive. DIAL, the airport’s operator, has proposed to AERA to fix UDF on the basis of peak and non-peak hours.
Airport News: The problems of passengers traveling by air from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport are going to increase a bit. If Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has its way, air travel from IGI Airport can become costlier by 5 to 10 percent in the coming time.
In fact, DIAL has sent a proposal to the Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) regarding the increase in UDF. If AERA accepts this proposal of DIAL, then passengers traveling from Delhi Airport will have to pay additional fees, which will have a direct impact on the air fare.
Fees will be decided according to hours
Let us also tell you that if AERA accepts DIAL’s proposal, then domestic passengers from Delhi airport will have to pay different UDF according to peak hours and non-peak hours. That is, if you book a flight operating in peak hours, then you will have to pay more UDF.
According to DIAL’s proposal, passengers catching domestic flights from Delhi Airport will have to pay UDF between ₹315 and ₹610 during peak hours. On the other hand, domestic passengers coming to Delhi from other cities will have to pay UDF between ₹115 and ₹210 during peak hours. That is, the more peak the hour, the more expensive the flight.
There is also a proposal for international passengers
DIAL has proposed new rates of UDF on international flights to AERA. In this proposal, it has been said to charge Rs 810 as UDF from economy class passengers catching international flights from Delhi and Rs 1620 from business class passengers. At the same time, it is proposed to charge UDF between Rs 280 to Rs 570 from passengers of international flights coming to Delhi.
