The company has upgraded its network and towers accordingly, to work on 4G as well as 5G technology.

A statement issued by Airtel Company said that the company has upgraded 4G technology as well as 5G technology on the 1800MHz band, due to which small changes will allow the company to provide network facility in 5G mode. We do not yet have spectrum nor the Government of India has taken any final decision in this direction. Therefore, once the spectrum is made available by the Government of India, we will completely switch to 5G network.
