Telecom operator Bharti Airtel has announced a big relief to its selected customers by giving them additional validity, data and calling for free. This relief is being given to Airtel subscribers after the natural disaster in Wayanad, Kerala. You must be aware that more than 150 people have lost their lives in the landslide after heavy rains in Wayanad, Kerala on Tuesday.

Thousands of people have been affected due to the major disaster in Wayanad and Airtel has decided to provide additional benefits to these disaster affected subscribers without any recharge or fee. However, these benefits will be available only to Airtel users in Wayanad. The company has said that prepaid and postpaid subscribers will be given benefits like additional validity, data and calling even after the recharge is over.

Prepaid users are getting these benefits

Prepaid Airtel subscribers in Wayanad are being given additional validity after the recharge ends. This means that those who are unable to recharge due to being stuck in the disaster can now also stay connected with others through calls and internet. Apart from three days of additional validity, the company is offering 1GB mobile data per day, unlimited calling and 100 free SMS per day.

These benefits for postpaid users

For Wayanad subscribers using Airtel postpaid service, the bill payment deadline has been extended by 30 days. This means that they will be able to access their services for one more month without paying now. After this, they will get the option to pay for two months together on the next deadline.

You may remember that last month Airtel made its recharge plans expensive. In such a situation, providing relief to users in case of disaster is a positive step and the company is doing this to help subscribers in difficult times.
