Airtel new Tarrif plan: Prepaid users have got a setback. Airtel has made all its plans expensive. The new prices will be implemented from November 26.

Airtel new Tarrif plan: The country’s leading telecommunication company Bharti Airtel has made a big change in the tariff of its prepaid plan. The company has revised the prices of all its plans. Now all prepaid plans will be more expensive than before. In the new rate list released by the company, Rs 20 has been increased on the initial plan. Meaning the initial plan of Rs 79 will now be available for Rs 99. The new prices will be effective from 26 November 2021.

Increase in tariff due to fall in ARPU

The company’s owner Sunil Bharti Mittal had already indicated to increase the prepaid tariff. He had said that the time has come to increase the tariff. Actually, Airtel has to take the user up to Rs 200 on the ARPU-average revenue by the end of the current financial year. Airtel’s ARPU had fallen in the last quarter, in view of which the decision was taken to increase the tariff.

Which prepaid plans will cost more?

Airtel’s ARPU decreased

The ARPU of the company had come down from Rs 166 to Rs 145. The company also suffered loss in revenue. Airtel is trying to increase it. Airtel’s ARPU was Rs 166 in October-December last year, which went up to Rs 145 in the March quarter this year. This decline was seen because the operators had abolished the Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC). According to one figure, the contribution of IUC in the telecom industry was 7-8 percent, which ended. Due to its end, there has been a big drop in users on the average revenue of mobile companies.
