In Delhi, 10 grams of 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 55,900, while that of 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 60,970. It was expected that the increase in gold prices in the last few weeks might affect the sale on Akshaya Tritiya. . That too at a time when the festival of Akshaya Tritiya is seen as a lucky day to buy gold. Some jewelers expect a 20 per cent drop in sales.
