Uttar Pradesh new Liquor Law: The Excise Department of Uttar Pradesh Government has changed the rules related to liquor. If you are also fond of drinking alcohol or keeping liquor at home, then it is very important for you to be aware of this rule.

The amount of liquor to be kept in the house has been decided by the government. If you keep more liquor in the house than the required quantity then you can also be jailed for this. If you want to keep more liquor at home then you have to take permission from the District Collector. Here further you will be given information about all these rules.

What are the rules-

According to the rules of Uttar Pradesh Excise Department, from now on you can keep only 4 bottles of 750 ML at home. Out of 4 bottles, you can keep 2 Indian brand and 2 foreign brand liquor. If you want to keep more liquor at home then a bar license will be required.

How much liquor can you keep after getting the license?

In fact, the quantity has also been fixed for those taking bar license. Under this rule, only a maximum of 72 bottles of liquor can be kept at home. It can also be of 15 categories. The purpose of this rule is to provide legal recognition to those running their own private bars at home.

How to get license-

You can apply for home bar license in the excise department. For this, permission has to be taken from the District Collector. Along with the application, Rs 51 thousand have to be deposited as security deposit. For this a fee of Rs 12 thousand has to be paid annually. Under Home Bar License, you can keep 6 foreign and 4 Indian brand whiskeys, 2 rum bottles, of which 2 are imported and 1 Indian brand liquor at home.

2 imported and 1 Indian brand bottles of vodka, 1 each imported and Indian brand bottles of wine, 12 imported and 6 Indian brand cans of beer are allowed. According to the information received from Noida Excise, only local residents can apply for home bar license. For this, ITR of 5 years will have to be given. A person can apply for only one license at a time.
