HSRP is a plate made of aluminum, bearing the registration number of your vehicle. It differs in many respects from normal plates.

The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has made it mandatory for all vehicles, including bikes and cars, to have a High Security Number Plate (HSRP). However, the situation is not clear yet in many states regarding the last date. But its last date has been fixed in Uttar Pradesh. High security number plates have been made mandatory in vehicles from April 15 in UP. According to reports, if you do not install this number plate in your bike, car or other vehicles, then you can be charged as a penalty of Rs 5500.

HSRP is a plate made of aluminum, bearing the registration number of your vehicle. It differs from the normal plate in the sense that it is fixed on the top of your vehicle with a non usable lock. So that it cannot be removed.

The HSRP is an aluminum plate, the corners of which are round shaped. In the top left corner, there is a chromium-based blue hot stamp hologram of the national emblem Ashoka Chakra. A 10-digit laser engraved pin is recorded in the lower left corner of this plate. This is your permanent address.

Talking about the feature of HSRP, it gives protection to your vehicle. This is fixed by snap-on-lock on your vehicle. So that this number plate cannot be separated from the vehicle. In case of theft, the vehicle can be tracked with the High Security Registration Plate. If the vehicle is stolen, the thief will not be able to change the 10 digit PIN on the number plate and it can be tracked.
