All Jio recharges have become expensive, new rates will be applicable from July 3

Jio Recharge Plan Hike: Jio has increased the rates of all its mobile recharges. The new rates will be applicable from July 3. The smallest recharge of Rs 14 will now cost Rs 19.

New Delhi. The country’s top telecom company Jio will increase mobile recharge rates by 12 to 25 percent from July 3. The company gave this information in a statement on Thursday. Jio is going to increase mobile service rates for the first time after a gap of about two and a half years.

Reliance Jio Infocomm Chairman Akash M Ambani said in a statement, “The launch of new plans is a step towards advancing industry innovation, promoting eco-friendly growth through investment in 5G and AI technology.” The company has increased the rates of mobile services in almost all the plans.

The price of the lowest recharge is being increased to Rs 19. This is a 1 GB data ‘add-on-pack’ pack, which was priced at Rs 15. This is about 25 percent more. The company said that the price of 75 GB postpaid data plan will now increase from Rs 399 to Rs 449. Jio has also increased the price of the popular Rs 666 unlimited plan with 84 days validity by about 20 percent to Rs 799.

The prices of annual recharge plans will increase by 20-21 percent from Rs 1,559 to Rs 1,899 and Rs 2,999 to Rs 3,599. According to the company’s statement, “Unlimited 5G data will be available on all 2 GB per day and above plans … The new plans will be effective from July 3, 2024 and can be selected from all existing touchpoints and channels.”
