Here you have to change the Read receipts setting of WhatsApp.
For this, open WhatsApp on your phone and go to Settings.
Now go to Account and tPrivacy option. Here below you will see the feature of Read receipts. If it is on then turn it off or disable it.
Now any of your contacts will see the status, they will not be aware of this.
However, the thing to note is that after doing this, who has seen your status, you will not even know about it.
Therefore, it would be better if after seeing the status of others, you make this setting as before.
