Indian Railways has given a good news for the passengers. The Chennai-based Integral Coach Factory (ICF) is going to deliver another Amrit Bharat train next month. This new train will be a modern variant of the existing Amrit Bharat trainset. It is known that the Ministry of Railways has set a target of manufacturing 50 Amrit Bharat 2.0 trains in the next two years. Work is going on rapidly in this direction. Amrit Bharat train has been made keeping in mind the low-income and middle-income group families. Amrit Bharat 2.0 provides affordable service to people traveling long distances. Amrit Bharat train was launched in 2023. It covers long distance travel easily. It has 2 types of coaches. The first is sleeper class, which is for reserved passengers. The second is general class, which is for unreserved passengers. According to the report of ET Now, a senior railway official said that ICF will complete the manufacture and delivery of the third rake of Amrit Bharat trainset in March. The pantry car of the third Amrit Bharat rake is undergoing wiring and fitment work in the furnishing section of ICF. The delivery of this rake can be done in the next 15-20 days.
Know the specialty of Amrit Bharat Train 2.0
Let us tell you that Amrit Bharat Train 2.0 has a 22 coach-rake formation, with locomotives at both ends. The train will have a formation of Loco+1 LSLRD+5 LWS+4 LWSCN+1 LWCD+4 LWSCN +6 LWS +1 LSLRD+ Loco. Earlier, Amrut Bharat Train 1.0 also had a 22 coach formation but it had a formation of Loco+ 1 LSLRD+ 4 LWS+12 LWSCN+4 LWS+ 1 LSLRD+ Loco. Amrut Bharat Train 2.0 is built with push-pull technology for efficient travel. The speed of this train will be up to 130 kmph. The train will have control couplers for push-pull operation with locomotives at both ends for high acceleration. The train will also have semi-automatic couplers for jerk-free travel and easy connection.
