Amrit Bharat Train: Railways is preparing to run 50 new Amrit Bharat trains, fare will be less than Rajdhani

Amrit Bharat Train: The official said that currently two Amrit Bharat trains are being run between Anand Vihar-Ayodhya and Delhi-Darbhanga. There are preparations to increase their number to 52 in a phased manner.

Amrit Bharat Train: Railway Board has decided to run 50 Amrit Bharat trains for common rail passengers in the current financial year. All trains will have sleeper-general coaches. These saffron colored Amrit Bharat trains will be run at a speed of 130 kilometers per hour with pull-push technology. Due to higher average speed, these trains will take less time than Rajdhani Express. The facilities in their coaches will be better than Mail-Express.

A senior Railway Board official said that it has been decided to produce a total of 1230 coaches of Amrit Bharat trains in the current financial year (2024-25). It will produce 600 coaches of sleeper category (LWSCH), 440 coaches of general category (LWS) and 130 coaches of guard-sleeper category (LSLRD). Thus, a total of 50 Amrit Bharat trains will be run in the financial year and their coaches will be sleeper-general. That means Amrit Bharat will be trains for common railway passengers.

Fare lower than Rajdhani

The official said that currently two Amrit Bharat trains are being run between Anand Vihar-Ayodhya and Delhi-Darbhanga. There are preparations to increase their number to 52 in a phased manner. Vande Bharat like facility

The design of the toilet in Amrit Bharat is on the lines of Vande Bharat train. In the entire train, one can reach the last coach from inside the coach without getting down on the platform. At present this facility is not available in non-AC coaches. The luggage rack is high and wide. Cushions have also been installed in the berths of general class coaches. Keeping in mind the handicapped, special type of SLR coaches are installed at the front and rear of the train.

Speed of 130 kilometers per hour

The Railway Board has decided to run Amrit Bharat trains at a maximum speed of 130 kilometers per hour. Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto and Vande Bharat trains are running at this speed. Mail-Express trains run at 110 kilometers per hour. The average speed of Amrit Bharat train with two engines in front and behind increases due to pull-push technology. In this, it is possible to pick up at high speed and stop trains at high speed. This increases their average speed.

In view of all the facilities and fast travel, the fare of Amrit Bharat trains will be 15-17 percent more than that of Mail-Express. Its engine will be on the lines of Vande Bharat, which will be completely saffron in colour. Whereas its coach will have a saffron colored stripe above and below the window.
